voyage voyage

Four days driving and visiting france (always hurry through spain because the bread is always stale and if you´re into veggies you won´t get to far beyond a salada mixta) and I arrive to the netherlands. things learned on trip:1)That gas is cheap in spain (prices like they were 6 yrs ago), and that this is because it is election year in the US. you gotta keep those voters happy!. 2) you really can have great food in france (ex: bread with lardons et pruneax) 3)that there is a good comix shop in Bordeaux on the main avenue (some 50m from the good yarn shop) 4)that there is a second good yarn shop in Bordeaux 5) that there are lots of cemeteries in the north of france for foreign soldiers (australian, brit, new zealand) that died in the first world waR and the area doesn´t look like it has changed much, 6) people in some of the towns in the north of france aren´t very nice. sometime downright bitchy 7) Antwerp despite it´s unpromissing name is a nice place, and my most painfull discovery: 8) andouiette sausage is made from tripe, and is to be kept away from at all costs.(errghhhhblahhh)
